Who We Are
Service with love,
since 2010.
Prerana Trust was born on April 10, 2010 when Santosh Kumar S R and a group of young Bangaloreans decided that service wasn't someone else's job. That day they adopted GirigowdanaDoddi Government School — a commitment they've kept every year since.
Prerana means inspiration in Kannada — the name suggested by Smt P Prathima, one of the trust's three pillars of inspiration alongside Swami Vivekananda and Dr. M Pandurangachar. Registered as a trust on August 4, 2010 — 12A, 80G and CSR certified. Every rupee donated is tax deductible and goes directly to programs, and corporates can contribute their CSR funds.
